$1000 Pumpkins for a Cause Winner

Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry would like to congratulate the Salvation Army of Van Wert for winning a $1000 donation from the “Pumpkins for a Cause” contest! Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr and staff each decorated a different pumpkin with a different non-profit organization. The public was welcome to vote on facebook by sharing, commenting, and liking the organization they hoped to receive the 1st place prize of $1000. The votes from social media and the tallied votes from in-person voting at the office were counted and the Salvation Army of Van Wert was the first place winner. Pictured from left to right are Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr, Helen Vaughn (dental assistant and designer of the pumpkin) and Debbie Weigner of the Salvation Army. Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry was happy to make a donation to a fantastic, local organization and is sure the money will be used for great things!

2nd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

It goes without saying we have some very talented staff members and everyone give it their all to win. The winner will get the official trophy for the year, a surprise gift, and BRAGGING rights!

Buckets N Boards

Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry was the presenting sponsor of Buckets N Boards at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. This show was the season opener after being shut down for over a year do to COVID. The staff and their families had a great time watching show! We look forward to the upcoming season at the PAC.

2018 Mother’s Day Contest

Do you need a Mother’s Day gift idea?

Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry of Van Wert was very excited to have our 1st Mother’s Day giveaway this year. The basket had over $400 worth of prizes. It included gifts from local stores, salons, and independent salespersons of the area. Kids could enter their mom to win by filling out a paper the said “I love my mom because…” and a name was drawn at the end of the contest. Lindsey Bowen was our first winner and was very exicited to win the basket.

The contest had many entrees with the number 1 reason we love our mom being….SHE FEEDS ME:) Many of the kids said some very sweet and loving things about their moms. Remember to tell your mom why you love her this Mother’s Day.

Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry, Inc is excited to announce the 7th annual coloring contest to help celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month in February. Any child from pre-school to first grade may enter the contest by picking up a coloring page at Drs. Jeffery and Mohr’s office on 685 Fox Road, Van Wert or downloading it from the website at http://www.JMFamilyDentistry.com under “Resources”.

There will be three prizes of $100, $50, and $25 Wal-mart gift certificates!
The child may then color the page, fill out the information, and hand it back into the office. All the participants coloring page entries will be placed into a drawing and on March 31st three winners will be picked.

FREE PIZZA PARTY!
Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry will also be giving one school a FREE PIZZA PARTY. Any one with a facebook account can vote my going to the Jeffery-Mohr facebook page at www.facebook.com/JMFamilyDentistry. Simply go to the photo album labeled “2014 Pizza Party” and share, like, and comment on the school picture of their choice. The winner will be the school with the highest percentage of shares, likes, and comments. Therefore, all the schools have the same chance of winning!

During the months of January and February, Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr will be visiting area schools to educate and excite the kids about the importance of good dental hygiene at home and seeing the dentist regularly. All the kids also receive a dental kit with a toothbrush, sticker, pencils, and dental education items. Drs. Jeffery and Mohr believe that developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits help children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy smiles.

This engaging show embraces and celebrates the fascination that children have with both dinosaurs and trains. The series encourages basic scientific thinking skills as the audience learns about life science, natural history and paleontology.

Little Buddy is a proud Tyrannosaurus Rex living happily in the Pteranodon family nest. But, what exactly makes Buddy a part of this family, and just what will happen when he gets bigger and can’t fit in the nest anymore? Buddy wants to know, so the Pteranodons decide to hop aboard the one and only Dinosaur Train and set off on an adventure across the Mesozoic to take Buddy to see his good friend King Cryolophosaurus. King’s giving a big concert in Troodon Town and will be a great pal for Buddy to talk to and figure it all out. But, oh no ! King is missing! Will Buddy and the gang be able to find him in time for his concert? Just why is King hiding anyway? Will Buddy discover what makes him special and such an important part of the Pteranodon family?

2013 OSU Wreath for YWCA Auction

First Federal Savings & Loan and Slusher’s Jewelry of Van Wert will be co-hosting “A Toast to the YWCA”, including a silent tree auction, on Friday, November 22.

Join the YWCA and event sponsors for a grand evening of wine and beer tasting in the impressive atmosphere of Willow Bend Country Club. Enjoy a night on the town while learning about a variety of fine wines and premium beers in true holiday spirit.

The evening will be complete with hors d’oeuvres, a chocolate fountain and surprise raffles. There will be a cash bar before the event.

The evening festivities include the silent tree auction. Numerous businesses and individuals throughout the area decorate trees and wreaths and donate the items for silent bidding. There is a tree or wreath for everyone at this event.

Auction items include a variety of price points and range from wreaths and small tabletop trees to seven-foot tall holiday greens. Those who attend will see everything from traditional holiday fashion, peacock, rustic and sports decorations! Even if area residents don’t need a tree, this event is still for them. In the true spirit of the holiday season, winning bidders are given the option of donating the beautifully decorated item to a less fortunate family in the community.

Tickets are $35 and on sale now at the YWCA. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 that evening. Seating is reserved. All proceeds from the event go to support the YWCA Transitional Living Program for homeless women and families and domestic violence services. Seating is limited. Call the YWCA today to register.

OSU Marching Band ticket winners!

Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry announces the Ohio State University Marching Band tickets winner.

We are happy to announce that the winner of the OSU Marching Band tickets for the NPAC at Van Wert on November 7 is Lucy Rice. Her family picked up their free tickets and free tee shirts for the event. The entire office is excited to see the concert and will be passing out the programs. The concert is SOLD OUT and the Van Wert Area is ready to show their Buckeye Spirit! GO BUCKS and Congrats to the Rice’s on winning the free four adult tickets.

First Birthday Club Launch

When should your child go to the dentist for the first time?

Jeffery-Mohr Family Dentistry has the answer.

Dr. Carl Jeffery and Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr are excited to announce the launch of a new and exciting program, the First Birthday Club. Many parents are not aware that the ADA and CDC recommend that all children should see the dentist at the age of one!

In the hope of educating and bringing attention to this fact the doctors are starting the First Birthday Club. Any child that visits Dr. Jeffery or Dr. Mohr while they are the age of one will be entered into a contest, and there will be a drawing held at the end of the year. The prizes will be announced at a further date!
