YWCA Festival of Trees 2012

Jeffery-Mohr Dentistry is very excited this year to participate in the YWCA's Festival of Trees, Silent Tree Auction.  The office donated a OSU Wreath to help raise money for the YWCA.  The public viewing of the trees and wreaths is Friday, November 16, 2012 from 4:30 to 5:30.  The profits of the event  will help support the social service programs of the YWCA including the Summer Food Program and the Transitional Living Program…

Making Bright, White Smiles

Here is a recent case that Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr finished at the office.  The patient's main concern was to get his smile back.  There is some work still planned, however within two weeks the patients smile changed completely.  We are sure he will be smiling brightly this Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr visited Crestview Elementary on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 to preform free dental screening examinations.  The school nurse, Sandra Grooms, RN, organized the event.  With her great organization it went on without a hitch.  The kids were checked for hearing, eyes, dental, and height and weight.  There were 80 kids seen that day and they all did great.  The state requires a screening for all kindergardeners…

Fruit Snacks Dentists hate these well marketed treats because they are significant culprits of tooth decay.  They may be called fruit snacks but they contain little to no fruit and no real nutritional value! Experts question X-ray Study

The press has recently released the results of a study that was linking a type of brain tumor to dental x-rays.  The ADA experts have reviewed the results and concluded that the study was highly flawed and experts also found the results of the study to be "radiobiologically impossible."  The study found that one bitewing x-ray was more likely to cause cancer that a full series of x-rays( that involves 20 x-rays and 4 of those are bitewings). …
