What We Offer

Financial and Insurance Information

If you are looking for a Van Wert dentist look no further.

Our goal is to make sure financial concerns don’t keep you from the care you need.

Everyone needs high quality dental care; however, in most cases there are different options available to give you a healthy smile. Dr. Carl and Dr. Jessica, along with their team, work very hard to give you all of the information to enable you to select the best option for you and your family.

If treatment is needed…

  1. Once Dr. Jeffery or Dr. Mohr has determined that treatment is needed, the staff will give a printed copy that will show the patient portion and the insurance portion. We do not require you to pay the full amount. Only the amount not paid by your insurance.
  2. If you have more than one treatment option, the doctor or staff will explain the different options and allow you to determine which treatment plan you prefer.
  3. Our office allows you many options in paying your portion of the treatment. We accept cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard), and our financing option of CareCredit.

Most insurances are accepted. We are a preferred provider with Delta Premier. If you have any questions about your insurance, please feel free to call us at 419-238-5810. We would be happy to assist you in any way possible.

Prevention

Dental prevention is your best chance to avoid pain and the high cost of some treatments. In fact, most insurances pay for 100% of periodic exams and cleanings because they know the financial benefit to them and you! Regular check-ups and cleanings are instrumental in preventing or minimizing the effect of plaque and cavities. It is important that you visit your dentist at least every six months to maintain proper dental health. Depending on your oral health they may find you are in need of more frequent visits.

Our Office Provides:

Restorative Care

Teeth are meant to last a lifetime. By taking good care of your teeth and gums, you can protect them for years to come. However, sometimes regardless of good care, cavities will form and treatment will be needed.

At our office we understand that everyone comes from different backgrounds and because of this, not everyone has been to the dentist regularly. Many people have not been to the dentist in years for many different reasons (fear, economics, embarassment, etc.) However, at Dr. Jeffery and Dr. Mohr’s office we do not worry about the past, but instead strive to help you in your present condition and to look to the future. Please do not continue to wait on treatment for your mouth or to be in pain and discomfort. Instead, call and make an appointment and start a new change in your life and your smile.

Our office provides:

Root Canals (Endodontics)

A root canal is a procedure in which the nerve of the tooth is removed and then sealed in order to allow the patient to keep a tooth without future pain. This procedure is most typically needed when a patient has a toothache being caused by large decay. However, other instances in which the dentist may recommend a root canal are for a cracked/broken tooth or a tooth that needs to be built up extensively for a crown.

The important knowledge to know is that even though root canals are typically negatively portrayed in jokes, they actually do not hurt to perform because the patient is anesthesized (numbed) for the procedure. In fact, because most root canals are performed on teeth that are hurting, they actually cause the tooth to no longer cause the patient pain.

Our office is happy to provide Root Canal Therapy to those who need it.

Replacing One or Many Teeth (Prothdontics)

Injury, tooth decay, or periodontal disease (gum disease) can all result in the loss of teeth. However, we can bring back your smile by replacing one, a few, or all of your teeth. All cases are different; therefore, the first step in restoring your smile is to schedule an exam with Dr. Jeffery or Dr. Mohr.

Our office provides:

  • dentures (removable appliance replacing all teeth)
  • partials (removable appliance replacing some teeth)
  • bridges (fixed restoration using existing teeth to replace missing teeth)
  • implant restoration (replaces one missing tooth without needing other teeth)
  • repairs on dentures and partials

Periodontal Treatment (Gum Disease)

More than 75% of the US population will acquire periodontitis (Gum Disease) at some point in their lives. In adults it is one of the most important reasons to see your dentist for regular check-ups and cleanings. Even though the common name is “gum disease” (because of the red appearance that occurs) it is actually the bone that is the concern. As the gums become inflamed, bacteria destroys the bone around the teeth and throughout time will cause the teeth to become loose. If left untreated, gum disease can end with extreme pain and lost teeth! There is no cure for gum disease, because once the bone is lost, it can not grow back. However, the goal of treatment is to stop the process from continuing its damaging path.

Our office provides:

  • Root Planing
  • Arestin (Link takes you to Arestin.com. Arestin: a locally placed antibiotic designed to kill bacteria causing gum disease)
  • Oral Hygiene Instruction (one the most important treatments of gum disease)
