Dr. Jessica A. Jeffery-Mohr
Born and raised in Van Wert, Ohio, Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr was very excited to return to her hometown and practice dentistry as partners with her father, Dr. Carl Jeffery. Dr. Jeffery-Mohr graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 2005 and joined the practice officially in July of 2005. The family jokes that she has worked in the office since she was in 4th grade! Jessica started her education in Van Wert at Van Wert High School and continued learning at Bluffton College majoring in Biology. She then finished her formal education at OSU, College of Dentistry.
Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr is also active in continuing the learning process and staying up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, The Northwest Dental Society, and The Ohio State University Dental Alumni Association.
She has a passion for educating the younger generation about proper dental hygiene and dental care. Her motto is to “Save the World, One Tooth and a Time.” She visits the area schools and preschools every year to help share the message.
Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr is married to Dr. Jacob Mohr and they reside in Van Wert. They have 2 sons, Caleb and Andrew. In between her career and parenting, Dr. Mohr is the chairperson of the Van Wert Ohio State Alumni Scholars Award and enjoys watching the Buckeyes every year! On Sundays, she teaches a 3rd-5th grade class.

Helen Vaughn
Helen is a dental assistant that happily started working with our office in 2016. While assisting she enjoys getting to know the patients and loves to assist when treatment needs to be done. She graduated from Wayne Trace/Vantage in 2000. She resides in Van Wert County with her husband John Vaughn and their three kids Wesley, William and Vanessa. With the help of her husband, she is a stepmother to two older children, step grandmother of four, and a step great grandmother of one. She helps her boys with Boy Scouts and her daughter in Girl Scouts. She enjoys watching horror movies and football. During her lunch, she enjoys reading a book/the bible and feeding the squirrels at the park.
Ashley King, RDH
Ashley is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Rhodes State College in 2014 with an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined our team in 2015 and has enjoyed developing relationships with patients over the years. Along with being a hygienist, you can find Ashley being a chair side assistant to the doctors as well. Ashley resides in Payne where she was born and raised. She graduated from Wayne Trace High School in 2010. Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Hersey. On the weekends you can find her watching OSU football, kayaking, and playing or watching softball.
Lori Wermer
Lori started working in the office in 1984. She works the front desk and files the insurance for patients. She is a Convoy native and a 1982 Crestview/Vantage graduate. She resides outside of Convoy with her husband Jeff. They have two married children. She is a proud grandma of Eleanor and Jay! She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She is an active member of her church. Lori enjoys seeing all the smiling faces of our new and estabilished patients!
Dr. Carl R. Jeffery
Dr. Carl Jeffery is dedicated to providing the highest quality dental care to the families of Northwest Ohio. After graduating from the Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1973, he opened his practice in Van Wert, Ohio in January of 1974. Dr. Jeffery is originally from Antwerp, Ohio and graduated from Antwerp High School. He then started his studies at Bowling Green and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. He married Susan Jeffery on March 22, 1970 and continued his studies in dental school. Carl and Susan have three daughters (Jennifer Slusher, Julie Wallace, and Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr) that they raised in Van Wert.
Keeping up to date with the newest technologies has always been an important aspect to Dr. Jeffery’s dental career. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Northwest Dental Society. He is also a member of the OSU Dental Alumni Association.
Dr. Jeffery has enjoyed working in Van Wert these many years and hopes to continue working for many more years. However, when he isn’t working you will most likely find him on the golf course or playing “Noon Ball” at the YMCA. He loves to talk about Ohio State football and basketball whenever he gets the opportunity! In fact he is the founder of the Van Wert/Paulding County Alumni Club and is a very active member.
